  • Values in Action

Here are just two recent examples of our pupils showing kindness and generosity to others.

Those of you who were at the school summer fair will have seen Albee in Year 6 having her long locks cut off. She is donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust so they can create natural hair wigs for other children. She also raised £210 for the charity. Albee has been planning this all year, and we want to say well done for being so thoughtful and courageous. Thanks also go to Mrs Rata who gave Albee a voucher to have her hair cut and styled at Dia Beauty Salon the next day.

Fred is leaving St Andrew's this year and wanted to leave a legacy for the children starting their journey at St Andrew's. A few months ago he took on a sponsored reading challenge and used the money he raised to buy a book for every child in Foundation. This morning he presented the children with their books and then read the story to them. He shared his passion for words and writing and has tried to inspire them to keep reading. This was such a kind and thoughtful gesture Fred. The children were delighted! Well done.
