The children have been involved in a range of fantastic science activities this week to support 'National Science Week.' Each class took part in 'Silly Science' activities in their own classrooms.
They had a fabulous assembly about careers involving science. Jennifer Skinner from SAHFOS (based in the Marine Biological Association) came into to discuss her role involving the ocean's plankton. Ali Hood, from the Shark Trust shared some amazing facts about sharks and introduced a shark detective hunt for the children!
The whole school met in the hall today to observe the eclipse from the safety of indoors. What a fabulous experience!
We concluded our Science Week by having a whole school science fair in the hall. Each class was responsible for providing a science station of learning for each class to visit. A fun, stimulating and motivating morning had by all.
Members of our lunchtime Explorer's Club delivered our Worship this morning. They explored our Christian Value of trust and looked at Proverbs 16:28. Well done to the children for performing in front of the whole school.
Thanks to Matt and Hannah from St. Andrew's Church for their help.
Well done to our families who have risen to the challenge of our International World Book Day. As usual, they have gone the extra mile to produce the most amazing costumes.
