  • Key Stage One Dartmoor Zoo trip

    Wed 29 Jun 2016

As part of their topic 'All things Bright and Beautiful', Key Stage One visited Dartmoor Zoo this week. We had a fabulous day looking at all the animals and birds and discovered lots of new interesting facts. We had a lovely picnic on the lawn, even though the peacocks tried to pinch our sandwiches!

  • Sports Day 2016

    Tue 21 Jun 2016

Our red, white and blue Sports Day this year is to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. We started the day by singing the National Anthem. The activities all involved British traditions such as croquet, maypole dancing, football, golf and even Morris dancing! Families were invited to join the children for a picnic lunch. It was lovely to see everyone.

  • Footsteps Project

    Fri 17 Jun 2016

The school was invited to take part in the Footprints Project by St. Andrew's Church this week. Along with other schools, we were asked to produce a piece of artwork using the children's footprints to depict the baptism of Christ. Mrs Haywood coordinated the art work and the children had lots of fun squelching in the paint and producing the collage with tissue paper.

Some of the children attended a short service at church today with Mrs Haywood and Mr Stonebridge. They were able to see the art from all of the schools involved.

  • Door of Unity Service

    Thu 16 Jun 2016

The older members of the School Council represented the school at the annual Door of Unity Service this year. The short service at the Minster Church of St. Andrew is a symbol of Anglo-American friendship. The children looked and behaved impeccably.
