Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As part of Anti-bullying Week, the children were set a homework task of producing a piece of work that displayed the importance of being kind. The children really rose to the challenge and all their magnificent work has been displayed in the school hall. There were posters, books, sculptures, special boxes, badges and even a very heart-warming video.
There was a special assembly led by the children (with the assistance of Mr Stonebridge) this week, where the children were able to show and deliver their messages of kindness. A special well done to Ana and Bea who were chosen to receive a book token award for their extraordinary efforts in completing this homework task. Well done everyone.
Thank you to everyone who came to school dressed in spots for a £1.00 donation to Children In Need and also to everyone who sent in cakes for the children to buy at play time.
We invited families into school today to join us for our Maths Open Morning. It was wonderful to see so many mums, dads, nannies and grandads in classrooms learning about how we teach maths in school today. We hope you enjoyed sharing this lesson together.
Congratulations to the children who competed at the Devon Schools Table Tennis tournament
at Eggbuckland Community College on 9th November. The girls came first in their division
and the boys came third. Thank you to Mr Jago who runs the table tennis club every day in school
and Ms Duboisson for her support.
We are very proud of our Clarinet Club who performed in a musical event for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal today. We are sure the shoppers at the mall were extremely impressed by their musical talent and impeccable conduct. A big well done to Ruth, Jocelyn, Issie, Dimi, Sean, Reece, Emma, Amelia, Carmen and Maisie. Thank you to Helen Welsh, our marvellous music tutor.
Lots of children (and staff) have come to school dressed as a computer virus today as part of our Internet Safety Day. There was a special e-safety assembly this morning and the children have been learning more about this important topic in their classes throughout the day. Mr Stonebridge will be sending home more information for parents this week - we all want our children to be safe online.
