Jack Leslie Assembly

As part of Black History month, we had a special visitor in assembly yesterday to celebrate the achievements of Jack Leslie, who played for Plymouth Argyle and scored 137 goals in the 1920s. Jack was called up to the England squad but was denied his place because of the colour of his skin. To find out more about Jack Leslie, follow this link;

Members of the School Council have been invited to the unveiling of the Jack Leslie statue at Plymouth Argyle on Friday 7th October - what an honour.

Thank you so much to Greg Foxsmith, a past pupil of St. Andrew's, for sharing Jack's story with us.
